We have been committed to providing an NHS dental service for the last 20 years. However, it is no longer viable for us to continue providing the kind of care our patients are accustomed to receiving and deserve, on an NHS basis. Following much consideration and with deep regret we have decided that from 31^st July 2024 we will cease offering NHS services. We have come to this decision with a heavy heart and we are fully aware that it is a very difficult time for everyone.

Recent changes, imposed on dentists, by the NHS system prevent us from providing the dentistry that we wish to provide. We understand how vital NHS provision is, however, unrealistic contractual obligations, a pace of dentistry that is unfeasible to maintain and constraints hiring dental professionals to work in the NHS have all contributed to our decision. 

We have tried for a considerable length of time to find a new NHS dentist but have been unable to do so. This is a trend reported by many dental practice owners across the UK.

Options for patients?   

1. Currently registered NHS patients can be a ‘Pay as you go’ private patient, which means you can book appointments in advance and pay for the treatment provided at that appointment.
2. Patients may sign up to our payment plans, these have been designed to be the most cost-effective option and include benefits such as 10% discount off general treatments.Please see our Fees and Membership page for more details.
3. Should you wish to attend another NHS dental practice, details of these can be found by visiting the NHS website on www.nhs.uk or by calling 111 for any urgent dental needs.

I’m an existing NHS patient, what does this mean for me?  

Existing NHS courses of treatment and booked appointments before 1^st August will be completed. After 31st July we will no longer offer NHS appointments and you will need to choose from one of the options, such as joining a payment plan, paying as you go on a private basis, or finding an alternative NHS dentist.  

What about children? Will they be seen on the NHS? 

We will see your children at their next recalled routine NHS examination before July 31^st July free of charge at which point we will explain what provision we can offer. We have designed a dental plan specifically tailored for children and priced to be as affordable as possible.

What if I’ve only just finished a course of treatment/had my NHS check-up  

Anyone can sign up immediately to our membership plan or join as a private pay as you go patient. Joining a plan means you will have the peace of mind knowing you have your next appointment booked with the dentist of your choice. We will continue to remind patients when their next recall examination is due. You are welcome to wait for this reminder. But please bear in mind that plan membership places are limited and may not be available if you wait too long. We always provide private patients with a specific treatment estimate to ensure you are fully informed at every stage. Payment is usually required on the day of treatment.  

If I become a member, can I leave easily? 

Of course. You can leave the dental plan with one month’s notice.
